Finally, I have a blog!!

For anyone who knows me at all, the following confession will come as no surprise: I LOVE BLOGS. Like, I creepily love them. I have my blogs that I follow continually. My RockMelt browser has all of my must-follow blogs on the side and the first thing I do when I open my computer each day is be sure to catch up on any new posts on those blogs I faithfully follow. Whenever I meet someone who makes the mistake of informing me that they have a blog, my excitement goes through the roof. After my excitement subsides, they always ask if I have a blog. Then comes the awkward part where I have to explain my love for blogs, but lack of a personal blog. In the past, I've attempted to start a few different blogs, and would always write enthusiastically in the beginning, but eventually I would quit, with the impression that my life was not that exciting and certainly there wasn't anyone who would want to spend their time reading about it.

However, in the past few years, God has radically changed my life. He has taken my heart completely. He has led me to places I never, ever would have expected or even imagined. Actually, each adventure He's taken me on has been one that in the beginning I said I would NEVER do. He has a sense of humor like that, I've found. When I say no to something, I imagine God letting out a little chuckle and a response along the lines of "Oh, yeah?? Watch me!" So, at this point in my life, while things are changing and God is moving in big and exciting ways, I figured this may be the time that my life could finally produce something worth reading about.

I am not sure if there really will be anything in here that is big and newsworthy, that could really capture anyone's attention, but here's to hoping and dreaming that I can actually stick with it this time around! I figure the best place to start is by sharing my story. In my next post, I'm going to give a (maybenotso) brief version of my testimony, so you can get to know me more if you don't already, and then we'll go from there and see what He brings for me to write about this summer!
